Jean-Luc Vallas returns to the National Higher Conservatory of music from PARIS at fourteen in the class of
Dominique Merlet on piano, Jean Hubeau on CHamber Music, Anne Grappote on Accompaniment, Michèle
Reverdy in musical analysis, Marie-Francoise Buquet in pedagogy class. During a course of sixteen years at the CNSMP,
he obtained his first prizes in chamber music, piano, analysis,vocal accompaniment and a diploma in Pedagogy.
He then perfected in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik de Freiburg with Elsa Kolodin, then in Poland
at the Cracow Academy with professor Jasinski.
Holder of the CA of piano, he teaches successively at the Conservatory of Montbeliard, at the CRR of Clermont-Ferrand,
of Lille, of Reims, of Besançon and currently has been appointed as piano teacher at the
Conservatoire a Rayonnement Regional in Grenoble, where he also occupie the coordinator of Piano Department Chair.
Passionate about musicology education and research, he also defended a thesis on the educational aspects of
Manuel de Falla piano music.
His artistic activity is enriched by various formations: accompaniment and choirs. He works with the polyphonic center
of Franche-Comté, the Stravaganza choir under the direction of Yves Rassendren in Grenoble and the choirs of Lyon.
As a chamber musician, he formed the Da Caméra ensemble, a formation of two pianos and plays in four hands with
François-René Duchable.
Eclectic by nature Jean-Luc Vallas holds a Diploma in Music Therapy from INFIPP de Lyon where he works in specialized
hospitals, private institutes and the Richard Foundation in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.
Teacher and concert performer, he is regularly invited to the Academies of Music of Flaine and Aix en Provence.
Trainer at CEFEDEM in Dijon, he is a member of the jury at CNFPT in Lyon, Center de Gestion in Rouen, Lille, Nantes,
Le Havre, Grenoble and Sainte Foy les lyon.
Roger Ducasse Competition Prize Winner, he is a member of the European Teacher Association and laureate of other
international competitions.
